Giving back is a shear delight

As a local business, Shear Delight has always believed in supporting the local community. From monetary donations, Chinese auctions, and fundraising events, we as a team have been able to help many non-profits and individuals in their time of need. Our team is always looking for ways to help out and give back. Please feel free to keep Shear Delight in mind when looking for someone to lend a helping hand!

Shear Delight has auctioned off baskets in salon, collected monetary donations, a well as hosting 'Come Wine With Us' Wine tours, some funds reaching over $2000 to donate to these organizations!

Gannon university-my angel memorial scholarship

Back in 2011, Shear Delight lost a very dear friend and guest, Diane Henry. She was a beautiful person inside and out, caring for others and worked as a nurse at the V.A. Hospital. She died tragically from an unexpected brain aneurysm. Her husband was, at the time, a coach at Gannon. In her honor, he created a NURING SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER, as a reminder of what a loving and giving person she was and to help support nursing students of Gannon University. Shear Delight has had many different was of raising funds for this scholarship. Anything from Chinese Auctions to Cocktails and Color!

The Christmas Family

Every year, a couple months before the holidays, Shear Delight seeks out a local family who is in desperate need of help.. Holidays for a lot of us bring joy and happiness. For some that time of year can be challenging. We raise money, clothes, food, and even toys for our Christmas Family. Our team even goes so far as to wrap the presents for the kids, and have Santa Claus pay them a special visit!
